Republican Curt Clawson loaned his campaign $1 million in months leading up to the June 24 special congressional District 19 general election, bringing the amount he’s loaned his congressional bid to $3.65 million.
Campaign finance reports were due to the Federal Election Commission by the 11:59 p.m. Thursday for candidates running in the congressional District 19 special election.
Four people – Clawson, Democrat April Freeman, Ray Netherwood, a Libertarian Party of Florida candidate from Marco Island, and Timothy Rossano, a write-in candidate from Fort Myers – are running in the June 24 special general election to hold the seat until the regular fall elections.
Reports cover a two-month period spanning from April 3 through June 4.
